Brian was born on a farm in Kent, and escaped to become an engineer as soon as he was old enough to leave school. After an electrical apprenticeship, he studied to become a professional marine engineer. In addition to having a very technical job, Brian has an encompassing interest in history and the arts, which ultimately inspired him to write Exchange of Love.
